GENERAL:

When does the season start?

The CRL + Pacific Conference season starts Saturday March 2nd, 2024 and runs through end of May 2024. More detailed play dates and information about the league can be found on the League Info page.

When is the last date a team can sign up?

The deadline to sign up for CRL is January 30, 2024.

How much does it cost to play?

The cost for the 2024 season will be $1400 for CRL & $1600* for Pacific Conference.
* additional $200 for USYS Registration/League fees. (Referee fees not included for either option)

Clubs can either mail checks to CSL, 350 South Glassell, Orange CA 92866l or can pay electronically via Credit Card through the online payment system Square. (electronic payments are subject to a small processing fee)

If my team drops from the league, can I get a refund?

Teams who drop after January 30, 2024 will not receive a refund.

How many games will the season have?

Depending on the bracket size, there will approx. 10 & 12 games.

TEAMS:

My team is not registered with Cal South. Can my team participate in CRL/PCL?

If you are not currently registered with Cal South the team and players must be registered prior to the season starting. If you did not play in CSL in the fall, your application will be reviewed as to level of play.

PLAYERS:

can loan players be used?

Players can only be loaned from another younger age CRL/PCL team from the same club.

fields:

if my team provides a home field, will we have home games?

Most games will be played at the Great Park in Irvine, with games also at Ventura College and the San Bernardino Complex. However, clubs that provide a quality field will be be able to host some home games (restrictions apply - travel distance etc).

Will any games not involving our club be scheduled on the fields we supply?

No, only games involving your club will be scheduled at your designated home field(s).

does THE LEAGUE schedule around other events?

CRL/PCL is scheduled around National Cup since teams participating in Pacific Conference Brackets also have to participate in National Cup. We also schedule around player’s showcases if requested. While we do schedule around events, teams also need to have enough play dates available to complete the required number of games in a season or they will be forfeited.

When Will the schedule be released?

While an exact date is not confirmed, we expect an initial schedule to be released by the middle of February.
